Swampland Fractal

Sneak your way through the traps and mud to find the Bloomhunger

This Fractal can be quite challenging to newer players and veterans alike. There is numerous traps to watch out for and a lot of things that want to kill you, beware the ambush from The Mossman

Swamp / Wisps

The goal of the first room is to get three Wisps back to their Cleft, you will start this by interacting with the cleft, when this happen three will spawn in random positions around the room. Once a Wisp is grabbed the clock will start to tick down, so let your team get ready and in position before

There will be traps scatter around the room, they are generally very hard to see but there will be bear traps and tripwires, if you look down you can see them slightly. They will cause knock down and cripple - stability will be a big help here

You will find Invigorator Rifle Prototypes, that the non-runners can use. This will help to provide buffs, slow enemies and even break stuns.

Walls will shift once the Wisps are grabbed, so you will have to navigate around or over them - one method to sneak past these is to use Portals, Mesmers and Thieves are ideal here for that reason.

When the timer runs out, the wisps are reset and you will have to restart. The positions of the Wisps will reset randomly as well. After all three are placed the tunnel will open up allowing you to continue

Mossmans Tunnel

Mossman will try to ambush you in the tunnel, and he will spawn two wolves to help him. He is a fairly easy fight, just DPS him, take out his adds, and make sure to CC him to break his bar. Once he is low enough he will transform into a Norn Racial form like Wolf or Snow Leopard, he will now start to do leap skills and do a bit more damage, continue dpsing like normal.

Bloomhunger

Upon entering the final room you will see a signle Wisp and four Clefts, just bring the one Wisp in to start the fight. There will be a few mechanics and phases that you will need to deal with.

Wisp Cleft - This will be the main mechanic you have to deal with while being attacked. Whichever Cleft you deposited the first Wisp into will have a large green circle around it that slowly starts to diminish. You will need to hold Bloomhunger and the adds in this circle to be able to damage them.

It will also provide Wisp Vigor to the team members standing in it. When it starts to disappear that means it is moving to the next Cleft around the room, moving clockwise, so just make your way to the next one.

Bloomhunger - Bloomhunger will leap at your team and do several attacks, when he leaps into the air, there will be a AoE marker on where he is too land, this is generally how each fight will start after the Wisp is placed. You will see Bloomhunger lift his front legs and dash forward for a charge attack, with a final swipe at the end, this will also knock players down and cause big damage- can dodge through it.
Bloomhunger will do a
Ground Slam repeatedly doing multiple rings of AoE's, but his break bar will be open during this phase, so CC him to stop this - this usually happens right after his leap attack When you notice him shake that means Bloomhunger is doing a AoE Poision Rain this will leave numerous poison AoE's all over the ground - avoid these and break his bar if possible

Lastly he will shoot a large poison glob at a player, leaving behind a large lingering AoE on the ground

Higher Tier - On higher tiers Bloomhunger will call Oakhearts to help that will stun and knock players down, they can be skipped but in some groups it may be best to eliminate them quickly due to their large health pool and the disturbance they cause.

Onslaught Phase - When you get Bloomhunger to 75%/50% he will become invulnerable and return to the middle, during this phase you will need to kill the spirit adds that come after you, you will need to still be on top of an active Cleft/Wisp to damage these enemies. During all this Bloomhunger will be spraying out Poison Rain AoE's. Kill enough adds to make Bloomhunger vulnerable again. When he returns Poison Blooms will spawn around the room, they are very weak and easy to kill, but should be dealt with as they apply poison to party members, and protection to enemies.

Wisp Phase - When you get Bloomhunger down to 25% he will return to the center similar to the Onslaught phase, but this time you need to return four wisps to four clefts. They will appear adjacent to each of the Cleft/Wisp AoE's you have been standing in this whole time, as well as markers will appear on the map, you must get all four in before the timer runs out and Bloomhunger has a chance to full charge, if you fail to get them in you will recieve high damage at lower tiers, and a team wipe on higher tiers.

After you get all four in place Bloomhunger will become vulnerable again, and start off stunned for a short time. There will be tons of spirit adds spawning, but you need to burn Bloomhunger down to finish!
