Getting Started
To get the springer, skimmer or jackal you will have to purchase the Path of Fire expansion. As well as, have a level 80 character to do the Path of Fire story. As a note: purchasing the Path of Fire expansion will give you with a level 80 boost.
Raptor is now available at level 10 for new accounts with an expansion unlocked
Raptor
Raptor is now the first mount unlocked early on. You will unlock this by simply hitting level 10 on an account that owns Path of Fire/Heart of Thorns
If you do not own the expansions you will receive a temporary Raptor mount every 10 levels.
Springer
Springer is the second mount you can get in the game, and it’s essentially an enormous rabbit. It can jump high into the air, decrease fall damage you take, and knock enemies down. To unlock it, you’ll have to do some chores for the breeder, in a specific region.
The Springer mount can be found in the Desert Highlands area, beyond the large canyon west of Auburn Hills. It'll be southeast of the Highjump Ranch Waypoint [&BJ0KAAA=]
However, you won't be able to jump over the canyon, and for that you will need to upgrade your Raptor to get Canyon Jumping as a skill. You will need to put 5 mastery points into the Raptor to get this.
Once you have upgraded your Raptor, leap over the canyon, keep going down the road and you should end up at Highjump Gap [&BLUKAAA=]. Talk with Stablemaster Unja, she'll give you some stuff to do to complete the heart event. Completing her tasks will also complete the Jump for Joy quest. Once done, you'll have the option to buy a Springer for 1 gold and 50 trade contracts.
Skimmer
The Skimmer is one of the mounts found in Crystal Desert in Path of Fire. It hovers over the ground, allowing you to glide on water which much faster than swimming. You can also avoid things like quicksand as well as sulfur pits by just hovering over them. This mount is also immune to fall damage, which works great for gliding.
To obtain the Skimmer, reach the point in the Path of Fire story where you go to Elon Riverland, then make your way to the Skimmer Ranch [&BGcKAAA=]
Once there, talk to Trainer Ardra, she'll ask you to deliver apples to famished villagers using one of Skimmers. This will complete the heart event.
Talk to her again, and you'll have the option to buy the Skimmer for 4 gold and 50 trade contracts.
Jackal
Jackals are like giant dogs, with a teleport blink skill as its special movement mechanic. It can evade all incoming damage, give a strong barrier to allies and dash through sand portals. The Jackal can be unlocked at the Djinn Enclave in the Sand Jackal Run, soutwest of the Desolation.
Complete the heart "Help Drojkor, Spirit Squall, control jackals" at [&BHcKAAA=]
Talk to Drojkor, Spirit Squall when completed, and you'll have the option to buy the Jackal for 30 gold and 200 trade contracts.
